After much anticipation, Apple announces their latest chapter of iOS, iOS 8, during their keynote address at the WWDC 2014 in San Francisco. Apple also announces new features for consumers, including revamped notification features, an upgrade to auto-correct called QuickType, support for third-party keyboards, improvements to Mail, and a new health tracking component called Health. Along with the introduction to their innovative new iOS, Apple unveils OS X Yosemite, the sequel to last year's OS X Maverick. Yosemite includes a user interface redesign, as well as major new features focusing on continuity integration between Mac and iOS devices. A new cloud storage system called iCloud Drive is also introduced as well as the ability to make phone calls and send text messages through an iPhones and iPads.
