Seth Rogen and James Franco have never been shy about controversy throughout their respective acting careers. However, their next movie elevates controversy to a whole new level as their upcoming movie The Interview finds them directly addressing the turmoil between the United States and North Korea. Landmark Theaters has announced that they will be pulling Thursday night's official premiere of the movie in New York. A few theaters have followed the precautionary act as a result of rumored physical terrorist threats. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security commented on the matter, stating that there is no "credible intelligence" supporting the threats of terrorism. UPDATE: After recent developments of terrorist threats, Sony has come out and stated that they will be pulling out of theatrically releasing The Interview. In a recent statement directly from Sony they stated that they were victims to "an unprecedented criminal assault against our employees, our customers and our business." We don't what exactly is going to happen with the release of the movie, but for now we know it will not be hitting theaters on December 25th.
