Studio Ghibli's animation My Neighbor Totoro is set to be realized as a real life theme park built within Aichi Prefecture's lush EXPO Park. Ghibli producer Toshio Suzuki and Aichi prefectural governor Hideaki Oomura announced yesterday in a press conference that the completion date for the park is set for as early as 2020.
