Star Wars have officially announced that Rian Johnson will be creating an all-new trilogy. After directing their upcoming film The Last Jedi, Disney and Lucasfilm have appointed Rian and Ram Bergman to write and direct the upcoming trilogy, a complete new story line separate from the Skywalker saga.
