SMH!!! But in a way, I have a similar feeling.
Before Nas went that whole route, the whole question of whether or not hip-hop is dead was never really as touchy of a subject as it is now. In every genre of music there are commercial acts that other artists hate for making poppy, mainstream music. That's the music industry. Do you think Iggy Pop is a Nickelback fan? How about Ted Nugent having Avril Lavigne in his iPod? Unlikely. One could argue that every genre of music is dead. That is so utterly false. Hip-hop especially is one of the most active, up to the minute genre's of music ever. Do you see rock bands dropping mixtapes once a week? No. Hip-hop is alive and it's heartbeat is at an all time high. Stop complaining, open your eyes and do you! God damn. [/rant]
