The day Nigo left A Bathing Ape was a feeling of confusion and disbelief. Imagine Walt Disney leaving Disney. Well, in the months following his high-profile departure from his own founded brand A Bathing Ape, Nigo announces that he now has assumed a new role with Japanese lifestyle brand Uniqlo, who has recently tapped the legendary designer to become Uniqlo U.T.’s creative director Nigo will begin immediately with the men’s, women’s and children’s Spring/Summer 2014 lines. Can we expect camouflage inspired motifs whilst gorilla imagery is strategically placed? Can't wait.
