Leonardo DiCaprio & Jonah Hill Team With Q-Tip For Hip-Hop Drama Series

The news is out. Q-Tip is teaming up with The Wolf of Wall Street co-stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill to put out a new scripted TV drama. The plot will incorporate Q-Tip's experience during the Native Tongues era. Consequently, there is no writer yet for this project although it is expected to be taken to networks next week through Leonardo's production company Appian Way. A Tribe Called Quest made their debut in the late 80's consisting of Q-Tip's high school friends Phife Dawg, Ali Shaheed, Muhammad and Jarobi White. The series will showcase experiences from the group and also The Native Tongues collective that A Tribe Called Quest was apart of. The show will tell tales of the member's friendship as well as reflect on how their music played a very important role in the hip hop culture and how it still effects music today.
