Earlier this year it was let slip that Vampire Weekend front man/ vocalist Ezra Koenig would be producing an animated show that featured Jaden Smith. This past week the speculation was confirmed as Koenig revealed via the series of Tweets seen below that his show, 'NEO YOKYO', is real, is an anime and will infact feature Jaden Smith, aswell as The Kid Mero, and more. The show will follow the main character voiced by Smith, and is believed to take place in a futuristic cross of New York and Tokyo, though few information has been confirmed.
Along with these announcements, the show launched its official Instagram page, which featured a post that implied the anime would be releasing September 22nd on Netflix. Stay tuned for more details, and check out the reveal tweets and Instagram below.
